Buying a Danish vintage furniture is also a story of how the Danish society from the 30ies to the 70ies transformed into a welfare society with an optimistic view upon the future and a belief that we could create a better world.
This period had a huge impact on furniture designers and producers who were very skillful and in coorporation created buautifull furniture with an attitude. They were inspired by functionalism where furniture should be good and healthy and design should be simple "less is more" was one of the slogans but they were also inspired by the thought of social equality meaning everyone should be able to furnish their home with these furniture. A philosophy was born and with it a foundation for a high production of furniture in good quality with a functionalistic design for all Danes.

I was raised in a home in the early 60ies and my parents furnished our house with these furniture. So for me to see that Danish vintage furniture is in high demand all over the world makes me proud, nostalgic and enthusiastic to be part of bringing Danish design and quality to the broader world.
Most of the furniture I have collected in people’s private homes. A table bought from a 91 year old woman now that she was admitted to the old peoples home, has a lot of value and story to tell cause she bought that table in the mid-50 and it has served as a centerpiece of furniture for socializing for more than 60 years.
