Maji Mazuri (Swahali for Beautiful Water) is a lifestyle farm all of whose residents are either full time tenants or short term guests.

One hour from Cape Town and in the Elgin MTB Trails & Wine Route areas, it is immediately surrounded by other farms, steep wooded valley and water, thus offering peace of mind, body and spirit.

Apart from some grapes and olives, most of the farm has been returned to nature and buck, porcupine, and other wildlife bear testament to a gradual return of its original occupants.
In this sanctuary for relaxation on meandering pathways or canoeing down the valley watching bird-life or bass-fishing, watches are best left at home.

The Cottage is comfortably attired to match the ambiance of this unique setting. There is no TV but for that crucial sports game one can go to the local pubs or hop on your bicycle & enjoy the MTB trails in the surrounding areas.

Frankly, one stays at Maji Mazuri to just get away from it all. So come and just relax, perhaps lying back after a sunset braai and look up at the heavenly sight of the Southern Stars - and recharge.
