Local Green Economy Initiative (LGEi), is an incubator for green skills, careers and start-ups in the water-food-energy nexus based at the iconic national bank building in Johannesburg South Africa.

LGEi was established in 2013 by ICRD Group Foundation Trust following a fellowship at the international centre for water management service.

We build and scale innovative businesses shaping tomorrow's water,food, energy, sanitation and resource management systems.

We further create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs to accelerate Africa's transition to an inclusive low carbon, resource efficient and prosperous green economy.
