Lemara Wild

Lemara Game Breeding Farm is located at the foot of the majestic Drakensberg mountain range of Hoedspruit. Ranging approximately 900 hectares, part of the farm is divided into different camps for the breeding of rare species.
Piet Potgieter produces and mixes his own feed to provide only the best quality to his animals. His love for animals started with the purchase of his first Livingstone Eland fifteen years ago and he has strived to breed the perfect Livingstone Eland since.
His first Sable Cow was also purchased at this time by different breeders. He already had Zambian bulls purchased from Sable Ranch and began crossbreeding. Over time, he purchased Breeding Bulls from Piet Warren and Thaba Tholo. The herd currently consists of 90 females and strict selection is constantly applied to improve the herd and keep the herd up to their high standards.
Piet Potgieter's buffalo herd currently consists of 60 female Kruger bloodline animals. Their number one breeding bull is a 48" Kruger Buffalo which comes from Dr. Hein Muller. They also specialise in the following species: Black Impala, Saddle Back Impala, Nyala, Golden Wildebeest, Roan, and Rhino. The farm would not have been a success without the grace of God and a loyal team.
