Lanto Montessori International Schools Trust

Lanto Montessori International Schools Trust is based in Midrand, South Africa. It was co founded by Louis Difo, a former Vice President of Chase Manhattan Bank New York (now JP Morgan Chase) and Anna Mojapelo, an Advocate/Attorney and founder of New Jerusalem Children's Home and of a Montessori Pre School, to provide a high quality and cost effective, Montessori Preschool education to the general public and to give access to it through scholarships/bursaries and other types of sponsorship to previously disadvantaged individuals as defined under South Africa law.

Lanto Montessori International Schools Trust is entering into a strategic alliance with a USA based Montessori Teachers Training Institution to train new Montessori Teachers and provide continuing education for existing Montessori Teachers. We also give seminars to parents on the philosophy and practice behind Montessori Education.

Some famous people and business leaders who had Montessori Education include Prince Harry and Prince William of England, Jeff Bezos, Founder of Amazon.com, Sergey Brin and Larry Page both Co founders of Google.com and Jimmy Wales, Founder of Wikipedia.

In 2009 Anna Mojapelo, Co Founder of the Lanto Montessori International Schools Trust founded a Montessori Preschool in Midrand, South Africa to initially to serve the needs of the New Jerusalem Children's Home (NJCH). The School has now grown to 150 children, with only 10 from NJCH, the remaining coming from the surrounding suburbs of Johannesburg and Pretoria, the capital of South Africa. More than 400 children have graduated from that Montessori pre-school in Midrand.

Lanto Montessori International Schools Trust is actively inviting and welcoming Companies, Foundations, Government Departments, Individuals and other Partners to collaborate financially and in other ways to contribute to bringing Excellence in Early Childhood Education (ECD) in South Africa and subsequently to other African countries by financing access to Montessori Education.

Lanto Montessori International Schools Trust is planning to open the first Montessori Pre School in SOWETO, the famous suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa in January 2018 under the name LANTO MONTESSORI PRE SCHOOL SOWETO. The new location is just a five minute drive from Nelson Mandela's Home and Museum. The school is set to teach up to 150 students in five classrooms. The Lanto Montessori International Schools Trust is providing management and administrative services to the school.
