Vision Statement

At Lakeview we follow a “Last chance approach” and not a next chance approach.
The reason for this is that we believe that a lot of patients get enabled by any other approach, and feels its ok to relapse as there is always another rehab to go to ,,,,next time.
For a lot of them next time never comes!!
For this reason we do not limit a patient’s stay to a specific time, as all cases are different, and we will only let a patient go if we believe with a great degree of conviction that the patient is healed and will remain clean.
We believe that restoration and healing needs to take place on various levels simultaneously.
1. Physically – Because we find that in most cases substance abuse has a negative effect on peoples physical being, and we change that by first giving them a total medical evaluation and then placing them in a physical training program and giving them a healthy eating program.
2. Psychologically – Because addiction is only a symptom of a bigger problem, we make sure that every patient is evaluated by our phycologist, and put into our unique program that involves therapy through interaction with horses.
3. Emotionally – Because we change the patient’s world by taking the substance out of it, we understand that the patient will be subject to various emotional fluctuations, so we help them cope by keeping them busy through various skill training programs that also help them with obtaining employment after they leave the program.
We also get them involved in various group activities to restore their basic communication and social skills.
4. Spiritually –Because we believe that we are only truly set free from bondage by the grace of God , we make sure that all patients are exposed to God through group sessions with our pastor ,as well as formal church attendance
