Lake de la vie Country Estate

Lake de la vie is an exclusive wedding and conference venue in Port Elizabeth situated on Royalston Private Wildlife Reserve and nestled between pristine virgin forest and lake. We offer the exquisite venue and secluded stone chapel and in addition, we boast an elegant two bedroomed double en suite chalet with spectacular views of our Lake and unspoilt surrounding.
Main wedding venue
The main wedding area is 354m² in size. We are able to seat 250 guests with dancing. The room boasts solid teak floors throughout adding to the warm and rich ambience. No draping is required. The main area and bar are climate controlled for our guests comfort. We have a back-up generator in case of power failure or load-shedding. Fold away doors open up onto sprawling lawns and the pool area as well as the lake and coastal forest. Parking is completely paved and can easily accommodate 250 vehicles.
Chandelier room
The adjacent chandelier room is 160m² and is utilized for welcome drinks, buffets or extra dancing area. Our separate fully licensed bar is supported by a cold-room and an industrial ice-machine. Background music is piped throughout the venue for mood setting.
The chapel
The magnificent secluded stone chapel is situated next to the main venue and is 418m². Seating up to 275 guests, with pulpit, register signing table as well as a roving mike, lapel mike and CD player, the chapel is perfect for your special ceremony.
