Escape to the tranquility of this sea-facing luxury three bedroom, two bathroom apartment situated on the spectacular lush South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Thirty minutes south of Durban is the quiet, unspoiled coastal village of Illovo Beach with blissfully balmy weather all year round and the warm tropical water of the Indian Ocean.
Four kilometers of beautiful soft sandy beach washed by the warm Indian Ocean stretches either side of La Mer. The Beach, accessed by a private gate, is a few minutes’ walk from the apartment and offers excellent fishing of the beach, safe swimming in shark-net protected waters, blissful sunbathing and endless sandcastle building opportunities. The Lagoon at the mouth of the Lovu River is a haven for bird watching and canoeing.
With breath-taking sea-views this first floor apartment is fully furnished and offers a Master bedroom with King-size bed and en suite bathroom with bath, toilet and shower. The second bedroom has twin single beds, while the third bedroom has a Queen-size bed. These two bedrooms share the second Bathroom. Linen and towels are provided; guests just need to bring their own Beach and Pool towels. Overhead Fans throughout. The Kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with fridge-freezer, a stove and oven, a microwave, kettle toaster and washing machine/dryer for added convenience. Dining room comfortably seats six. The Lounge is equipped with a 48” Samsung Flat-screen TV with DSTV. The Master bedroom and living area opens onto a large Balcony with 180 degrees Sea and Breaker view, outdoor furniture and a large 5 Burner Gas Barbecue.
La Mer is well maintained with lush gardens and a sparkling swimming Pool and kiddie’s Pool with barbecue facilities and a Club house. In the front of the Complex there is a play Area with a Jungle Gym for kids. The complex has 24-hour camera surveillance and security, undercover parking for one vehicle, plus ample open parking for visitors. The main coastal Highway is out of view and earshot, but is 10 minutes’ drive away offering easy access to some of South-Africa’s top Game Parks, Dive Sites, Nature Reserves, Crock World, Golf Courses, Galleria Mall, uShaka Marine World, Casino, Moses Mabhida Stadium, an hour’s drive to the breath taking Oribi Gorge with Africa's longest Zip Line (4.5 km long) and other Coastal attractions.
