Kyokushin Cape Town - Honbu Dojo

Head dojo for Southern and Central Africa under the tutelage of Shihan Kenny Uytenbogaardt (8th Dan - one of only two Westerners on the International Board of Kyokushinkaikan), assisted by Sensei's Michael Shuttleworth and Jason Dawes (5th Dans).

Our well equipped modern dojo is home to the current and past South African Knockdown champions as well as several members who have represented South Africa in various world championships,

Kyokushinkaikan headed by Kancho Matsui is the original Kyokushin and is the largest single style any karate in the world with approx. 12.5 million members. We are a traditional style that places high value on hard training and following the ideals of our founder Sosai Mas Oyama.
