Mission
To educate and develop the youth's interest in Nature and open their eyes to the wonder that is our South African Bushveld. The basis of our courses are to develop your child and provide him/her with the oppertunity to broaden horizons and experience life outside what is considered their norm.


Description

Youth Activities

We specialize in the training of adolesants to appreciate nature. Our simple philosophy is “Through Education One Appreciates”

We have 2 group activities that will be available over the school holidays for adolesants.


Youth Group Excursion

This includes a 4 day visit to the Farm in which we provide your child with knowledge and the opportunity to experience nature in a safe and secure environment. Guided by fully trained Professional Hunters.

Activities such as hiking, camping, track identification, game spotting, night drives, archery training and outdoor team activities make for a memorable excursion in which your child will return with a greater appreciation of what nature has to offer.

We conclude our excursions with a function on the farm and small rewards for excellent behaviour and consentration during discussions.

The goal of the excursion is not just to teach but to improve and develop teamwork, objectivity and healthy competition

We feel that this tranquil and calm setting is perfect to retract your child from his/her every day activities and experience something that is becoming less and less available to the youth. The opportunity to experience what nature has to offer.


Hunting excursion

This excursion occurs twice a year and consists of the full development of your child and his knowledge and use of weapons. Guided by fully trained Professional Hunters.

We train the youth correct weapon safety, correct weapon cleaning, tracking, track identification, wildlife identification, wild life facts, target shooting protocol, gutting and skinning, correct capping method.

The excursion consists of the above mentioned training, a hunt (Impala, Blesbuck, and Warthog. Kudu at request and seperate cost) and night drives. All above mentioned training consist of practical application that will prove vital in the future development of your child and the policy of ethical hunting we hold dear to our hearts.

Meat processing is an optional course for those who would like to learn about it.

Meat Processing:

This is an introductory course where we offer the parents the opportunity to join the classes and is held on the final day of the excursion. This will include the making of

• Burger Patties
• Boere Wors
• Biltong
• Salami
• Carbanossis
• Cutting and Prepping Steaks
• Sosaties
• Band Saw Operation (adults only)

The Meat Processing will come at a set additional fee to cover all spices, Sheep Trimmings and Labour needed in the processing of the carcass.

We urge you to consider this as a great tool in your child's development allowing him/her the opportunity to experience something he/she may not otherwise would have experienced in a safe environment where correct use and precaution is trained before being allowed to hunt.
Our objective is to have every youth and his/ her parents to leave our excursion richer due to the lessons learnt and experience gained.

We do not merely want you child to hunt. But to understand and appreciate every aspect of hunting and the finer details tand ethics of he act.
