Before Kristen started making ice cream, she was born in the Midwest of America, and then ate her way across the globe. Kristen lived in Chicago, San Francisco, Denver, Melbourne, all over Asia with her backpack, Manhattan and Brooklyn before falling in love and settling in magical Noordhoek.
Today, Kristen creates artisanal ice creams from her gourmet kitchen overlooking Long beach. Her organic garden is her main place for inspiration, where basil grows like crazy and mint winds around every wooden post. Kristen scoops up local produce direct from farmers markets, and sources ingredients from her travels around the world.
Kristen lives in Noordhoek with her husband Mark, and their two insanely cute puppies, Harry and Petunia. She is a self described “80 year old Italian grandma”, with a die hard belief that food = happiness.
