Hunting and game breeding initiated from game being mostly seen as a nuisance, or in some cases as pests, where hunters would have been asked to perform pest control for a fee; and has grown to where trophy hunting emerged as the preferred primary conservation tool, as well as the establishment of the well-recognized game breeding industry, coupled with a very lucrative investing opportunity recognized globally.
