Kosmos Lodge

Situated at the foot of the Magalies Mountain, overlooking the peaceful waters of the Hartebeespoort Dam, the peace and quiet is refreshing and the bird life is diverse and beautiful. Come and relax! You might just hear the call of the Fish Eagle or the Baboons barking in the mountain!!

Less than an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria!! Kosmos Village is a secure, boomed off area and the Lodge has safe parking on site.

Lodge

The Lodge consists of 3 luxury bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (shower). Each room has a sliding door, which opens onto a small, private, balcony with a breathtaking view of the dam.

The room has a cozy, queen size bed with quality mattress and for your comfort, air conditioning, under floor heating in mid-winter and a gas fireplace for a romantic ambiance.

The luxurious granite and marble finishing in the rooms and bathrooms will leave you refreshed!

The rooms are serviced daily and a turn down service is also provided.

Just outside the rooms, you will find a communal lounge with a cozy fireplace.

Each room is well-equipped with a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster as well as a kitchenette with running water and all the necessary cutlery and crockery. It also has a small personal safe, some hangers, a proper hair dryer, blanket, towels and linen. Some amenities are also supplied. All the rooms have flat screen televisions with DSTV and coffee and tea facilities.

Included in the accommodation rate, you will be provided with a basic continental breakfast, which shall be placed in your room with the turn down service the night before.

Kosmos Lodge is ideal for a romantic break away or for wedding guests to stay over to attend a wedding at any of the lovely venues in the area.


Activities

Come take part in some of the many activities around the dam or just explore the beautiful Kosmos Village!

• Visit Harties Cable Way and zip up the mountain in a cable car!
• Dare to go on the wild side at the De Wildt Cheetah breeding centre.
• Worth a visit are the Elephant Sanctuary and Monkey Sanctuary!
• Shop till you drop at the colourful Chameleon Village or play a round of golf at any of the many golf courses in the area.
• Also, not too far off, you will find the Sterkfontien Caves, Lesedi Cultural Village and Ukutula Lion Park.
• Pay a visit to the zoo or one of the snake parks in the area.
• For the more adventurous, why not go hot air ballooning, paragliding, hang-gliding, rock climbing, abseiling, river rafting, hiking, zip lining and much more!!
• Harties is also a favourite biking destination, both for offroad riding and road trips.
• There are many lovely restaurants, coffee shops and spas in the area.

Our rates vary between R500 and R750 per person sharing per night (2 guests per room), including basic continental breakfast.
