More about Kokoro Drumming

Baka "Kamba" Basua, owner of Kokoro Drumming, is a talented musician originally from Kasai in the DRC. His professional career started in 2004 when he became involved in teaching drumming to groups of up to 1000 people. He is an experienced performer and his album “Mujilankaka” was released in 2011. Baka performed on stage with 30 Seconds to Mars when they played in Cape Town in 2010.

“I believe that all of us have a heartbeat, and so all of us have
rhythm. You can make music with anything - everything has a song, but the best song is the song from your heart and your soul which releases your stress."

Interactive Drumming is a great way to bring people together. When you drum, you cannot think about anything else. You can lose yourself in the rhythm. While the experience of many beats being played together to sound like one can be both energizing and relaxing, it also helps people to lose
their inhibitions.
Drumming helps to teach people to communicate better, as well as listen. It’s a wonderful ‘ice breaker’ when bringing a new group of strangers together. It can help a group of new students to get to know each other and feel more at ease.

Kokoro Drumming offers:
Interactive drumming workshops for Corporate Team Building, Private Functions, Weddings, School groups, Birthday parties
Live performances with drummers (and dancers on request) for Corporate Events, Private Functions, Weddings, Birthday Parties, Film Shoots and Commercials
Private classes for adults and children

Workshops and Performances can be from 20 minutes to 1 hour long, indoors or outdoors. Baka can teach in both English and French but since drumming can be taught with very little verbal instruction, people of all languages will experience the benefits of a drumming workshop.
