The Knysna Xtreme is South Africa's first and only extreme triathlon taking place along the Garden Route in South Africa.
Covering a distance of over 224 km with a vertical ascent of more then 3,300 m, the Knysna Xtreme with challenge athletes and their supporters on this grueling yet scenic route.
The Knysna Xtreme is an unsupported, point-to-point triathlon starting in Knysna and finishing at Diepwalle Forest Station in the Knysna forest.
Only minimal support is provided by the organizer during the Knysna Xtreme. Each athlete is required to have a supporter to provide them with everything they would need during the race. This makes the Knysna Xtreme as challenging for the supporter as it is for the athlete.
