Kindermusik with JDC Studios

Jeanine Du Casse established JDC Studios in 2003. She is a classically trained pianist, who teaches piano and music theory for both children and adults. Students are able to complete exams with ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), Trinity Guildhall and UNISA.

Jeanine started playing piano at the age of 7 and was soon asked to play in her church which she has done for the last 30 years. Jeanine showed early on her aptitude for music and was able to compete internationally in Colorado, USA in song writing during her high school years.

Jeanine has a wide range of experience in the music business. She was the keyboardist in a band based in Johannesburg in 1996, performing in various venues and opening for acts such as Just Jinger. She was also involved in studio work both in Johannesburg and Durban for voice and piano. She initially taught music as a subject for home-schooling, but now teaches privately as well as being a piano accompanist for Curro HCA’s (Hillcrest Christian Academy) two choirs.

While working overseas in the USA, Jeanine studied guitar and Jazz piano. She has completed her BA in Health Science and Social Services specializing in Psychological Counselling, as well as an Honours degree in Psychology specializing in Child Development.

With her heart for children, her love of sharing music, and her understanding of child development, this is now all combined in her new venture of Kindermusik.

Kindermusik is a gently structured, flexible curriculum that allows children from birth to 7 years to learn and develop at their own pace. Research shows music nurtures a child’s cognitive, emotional, social, lingual and physical development. Leading professionals and specialists from various related disciplines have helped produce this remarkable international program.

Kindermusik incorporates the most current research on the growth of a child’s brain, the importance of the parent-child bond and the vital relationship between a child’s emotional well-being and the ability to learn. Seven years of Kindermusik prepares your child for twelve years of school!
