Situated in the Eastern Cape, Kariega spans across 9000 hectares of pristine wilderness, and is home to the famous Big 5, zebra, giraffe, hippo, multiple species of antelope and an abundance of birdlife. Kariega is a family-owned and operated private game reserve, giving it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Set on African plains, magnificent hills and dramatic river valleys this hidden jewel combines spectacular and dramatic vistas with an abundance of African game and wildlife.
Teaming up with the Kariega Foundation and the Kariega Project, a non-profit community development initiative, we have developed the Kariega Community Programme. With your help we hope to help improve the lives of impoverished communities in the area. Based in the beautiful seaside holiday town of Kenton on Sea, volunteers get to make a lasting difference in the lives of those less privileged.
Come join Kariega Volunteers for fun, adventure and travel in the wilds of Africa, an experience you will never forget and help make a lasting difference.
