Kalahari Arms first opened its doors more than 20 years ago, in 1994.

It was the product of a life-long dream for owner Willie du Toit. As a hunting- and gunsmithing aficionado, he saw a gap in the market for a firearm shop that could offer solid advice, excellent service and a stock of quality, tried-and-tested products.

Along with the tireless efforts of his wife Cheryl, who shared his vision, and a staff dedicated to the trade, the business soon flourished into what is today one of the leading hunting, firearm and outdoor shops in South Africa.

Regular visits to trade shows, and a policy of putting the customer first, has seen the shop being named GQ magazine’s ‘Best overall men’s shop’ in Johannesburg, along with honourable mentions in numerous outdoor magazines.

We recently expanded our range to cater to the connoisseur and are now the sole agents of investment pieces from the likes of Chapuis (France), Bernardelli (Italy) and Bergara (Spain). These exquisite arms, with superior checkering and fine details like gold and silver inlays are truly works of art that appreciate in value over time.
