K9 Security Services

K-9 Security Services was established in 2009 by Mr. Sooraj Maharaj.
K-9 Security Services took over the reigns of South African Security Services which was formed in the early 1990’s.
Mr. Maharaj has a wealth of experience, having previously work in the South African Police Services.
His passion for his community and his drive to eradicate crime, made him to go into the security sector.
His years of employment in the South African Police Services instilled in him the professionalism, vigor and determination to uphold everything that is true and correct.
This is the characteristics that he has passed over to this staff.
His association with Mr. Ismail Shezi, a long time friend , associate and confidant help set K-9 Security Services on the current road to success that K-9 Security Services is currently experiencing.
Mr. Ismail Shezi also with his wealth of experience and determination to community safety was elevated to the status of CEO of the company.
Together the both of them fought crime in our community with determination and nerves of steel.

But as Bad luck or tragedy would be, Mr. Ismail Shezi sadly passed away.
His passing away was hard and painful but this actually spurred the staff of K-9 SECURITY to newer heights.
His legacy and profound words were a stepping stone to more discipline, grit and determination in executing our duties.
After coming to terms with the loss of his confidant and CEO , Mr. Maharaj rose to greater heights thus making K-9 SECURITY SERVICES as one of the BEST in Kwa Dukuza.
Its’ a reputation and achievement that he holds close to his heart.
Due to Mr. Maharaj success in business he has ventured out into other business that are
(1) the accomplishment of many buildings in Kwa Dukuza
(2) The accomplishment of a very Successful Construction Company
(3) He also now got into the Real Estate Business
Thus Having Accomplished all this he has decided too hand over the Security business (K9 Security) to another a very special person who was the finance of Mr Ishmael Shezi and that is Betty Nana Mbalane.
She has now taken the Reigns Of the company and still has the support of Mr Maharaj.

K-9 SECURITY SERVICES’ management comprises of a mixture of personnel.
Our selection of personnel for management is of uttermost importance to us, as it destines our bright and successful future for new challenges and new projects.
Our controls, be it documentation, instructions or etc... are accurate, precise and procedure oriented.
We enforce these measures so that our lower levels of staff can practice/copy/emulate what we do, thus showing our transparencies and not practicing double standards.
All our levels of personnel are African and Indian with a breakdown of 55% males and 45% females.

K- 9 SECURITY SERVICES employs the equity bill policy in its, employment selection.
Each candidate undergoes clearance, medical and education checks prior to an offer of employment.
The objective is to ensure, the candidate’s compatibility with a position of trust in a security company and also that the candidate fits the culture of the company, which is one of service and protection.
The scheme is based on a 80% / 20% ratio for every employee that has been with the company for one year before financial year end.
Security Officers must be registered with PRIVATE SECURITY INDUSTRY REGULATORY AUTHOURITY.

Skills development is an important and interregnal part of our business.
We strive to better and uplift our personnel so as to advance their skills for a better future for themselves.
Our training programs are both internal and external.
Our external trainings are conducted by PSIRA accredited companies.
Our internal trainings are conducted by our Director Miss B. N. Mbalane and our Guarding Manager Mr Thulani Shangase.
In providing the training, we at K-9 SECURITY SERVICES also strive to keep up with the latest technology in alarm monitoring equipment and programs.
Our control room is the heartbeat of our operations and is manned on a 24hrs basis.
