Justice for Xana

Everyday we listen to so many cases of violence in South Africa but nobody mentions the victims of negligence and malpractice that happens every day in hospitals (state or over-priced private clinics).

My daughter, Xana, was a victim of malpractice. She passed away on the 29th of May, 2013 at Sandton Medi Clinic . She was in a vegetative state at that point caused by negligence (lack of oxygen to the brain), untreated seizures (doctors at Medi Clinic Vereeniging stopped giving her the medication and doctors at Sandton also didn’t give her her medication) and cause of death was sepsis (also untreated). The last six months of her life were horrific--horrific for her and horrific for a mother to watch. I am certain I am not the only one facing this kind of tragedy.

I created this page to raise awareness to the rampant malpractice and negligence that occurs every day in South African hospitals and clinics--where both doctors and hospitals commit atrocities and are never held responsible for their actions.
