Hangout Jozi

Hangout Jozi is a tapas bar with art, deli and craft. We serve delectable platters of food for a shared meal between a group of people. Our menu includes braai foods, fish platters, traditional stews, Indian cuisine and innovative vegetarian platters too. Our bar specialises in bespoke, locally-produced craft spirits, beer from all over Southern Africa and of course proudly South African wines too. We pride ourselves in exceptional service with delicious food, informally presented for a casual meal in a great hangout space.

Hangout Jozi is a tenant of the One Eloff building – an inner-city regeneration project by Molten Black and part of a precinct under development, known as Joziburg.

Find us behind the massive blue-and-yellow One Eloff building, along the Joziburg Lane on the outside of the building.

Hangout Jozi is also the base of JoburgPlaces – exceptional inner-city walking tours.

We are currently open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and take bookings for private events and groups on other days. Our trading hours will start expanding in July 2017 as the retail areas begin to come on stream at One Eloff and the surrounding Joziburg precinct.

Walk in from 2 Eloff Street along the Joziburg Lane or through the retail area inside the building and find us at the back.

If you come by car drive in at 3 Wemmer Jubilee Street and drive up the ramp to the rooftop parking. Take the Forever stairs down to the lane where you will find Hangout Jozi.
