Hilltop Country House

Hilltop Country House is an elegant blend of luxury and homely charm. Built in 1880 and tucked away in a lush Country Garden setting, this private retreat, nestled in the Duma Manzi Eco Reserve, offers guests an exclusive and intimate experience.

Hilltop Country House was home to The Harcourt Family who were famous for their delicious pies and used to supply the community living in the valley. This house was a popular place for all neighbouring farmers to visit for afternoon teas and admire the breathtaking views.

Furnished with fascinating period pieces and scrumptious fabrics reminiscent of Victorian sophistication, the house exudes unsurpassed comfort and style. Our cosy Country House boasts three uniquely decorated luxury bedrooms and two Victorian bathrooms, typical of the homes built in the 1800’s.

Guests can enjoy the open vistas of wilderness and wildlife; buffalo, zebra, giraffe, blue-wildebeest, impala, blesbok, oribi, reedbuck and many more wildlife species while having afternoon tea or an evening cocktail from the veranda of our cosy Hilltop Country House.

The house suits everyones "taste" as we offer a self catering option, we can prepare you delicious farm style meals from our Hilltop Kitchen, you can have your own personal cook, or go on a game drive to Duma Manzi Eco Lodge & Spa and enjoy a lunch along the beautiful Mkomazi River. The choice is yours...
