Harties Horse Academy

A mere 45km drive from Johannesburg, Pretoria and Rustenburg, nestled at the foothills of the majestic Magaliesburg mountain, lies Groot Verlange Horse Academy. Groot Verlange Academy is situated next to an adjoining nature reserve, and having your morning coffee interrupted by the sight of giraffe is a weekly occurrence.

Groot Verlange is dedicated to the dream of a child, as it was the owner, Andre Coetzee’s childhood dream to one day own the family farm on which he grew up. This dream came true, and is now the reality of Groot Verlange Academy.

We have been operating since 1995, our services are offered and rendered in a comfortable and homely, yet professional environment.

Most of our regular clients are part of the family, and many trail clients have returned to repeat the unforgettable trail experience on more than one occasion! Our dogs are friendly, our geese are safe and the chickens are flourishing in numbers. Our staff are friendly and experienced, and most importantly, our horses are well looked after and are happy!
