Haggards Hilldrop is a 4 star bed and breakfast situated in the outskirts of Newcastle in Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa. It was declared a national monument in 1981 and it was the home of the famous author Sir Henry Rider Haggard. In 1997 Haggards hilldrop house opened officially as a bed and breakfast to the public and is now owned by Andre and Lelanie Joubert.
The lodge boasts 31 spectacular rooms, 5 of those rooms recently built, a bar,internet,parking, swimming pool and outstanding breakfasts everyday with dinner from Mondays to Thursdays. It is located 1km away from the Black Rock Casino, less than 5 km from central town and 8 kms away from the Newcastle Golf Club.
