Guinevere's Gallivant - Craft Liquor Tours

Guinevere’s Gallivant is a 1 day, 1 night tour focusing on exposing foreign visitors/backpackers with an appreciation for craft liquor to the local craft producers in the greater Cape Winelands. Backpackers will be picked up in Cape Town at various pick-up points and driven to local producers in the Paarl, Wellington and Tulbagh area where they will be guided through a tasting. Tastings include craft beer by CBC brewery at Spice Route, craft spirit liquor from Jorgensen’s Distillery in Wellington and craft wine at Guinevere Guest Farm’s boutique cellar in Tulbagh. Tours depart on a Monday and Wednesday and return the following day after spending the night at Guinevere Guest Farm, a well-established boutique farmhouse. The tour is largely commitment free - time wise and great value for money.

Tastings may include:
Beer tasting at Cape Brewing Company (CBC); Wine tasting at Guinevere’s boutique Fynbossie Cellar; Spirit tasting at Jorgensen’s Distillery; Beer tasting at Wildclover Brewery; Whisky tasting at The James Sedgwick Distillery

Accommodation:
This is a backpacker’s dream night out in the country with Lady Guinevere. Her humble country escape is a boutique farmhouse with 9 bedrooms ranging from semi-luxury to luxury. Each spacious room has an en-suite master bathroom, a balcony with breath-taking views of the valley and is filled with quirky art and antiques. The upstairs bedrooms are centred on a large courtyard, with a main kitchen, fireside lounge and dining hall downstairs - this is rustic farm luxury at its very best.
