What is Cape Access?
It is a programme that provides access to information and communication technologies (ICT) to less privileged and rural communities across the Western Cape. ICT is a term used to describe a range of technologies that include computers, cell phones and the internet, as well as the various services and applications associated with them.
Members of the e-Centres get free:
Use of computers
Access to the internet
Access to e-mail
Printing (a maximum of 10 pages per person per day)
Basic computer training
Access to government information and services
Access to job, business and research information
Accredited computer training
Cape Access e-Centres
e-Centres are the physical locations where Cape Access provides computers and internet access. These are placed in communities where access to ICT is limited.
