Golden West Social Housing Company

Golden West is a Gauteng based registered Social Housing Company, which develops, owns and manages Social Housing in the the West Rand District Municipality, that is; Randfontein, Westonaria, Merafong and Mogale City local municipalities.

Golden West is about nation-building. As a company, we are aware that Social Housing is key in contributing towards restructuring South African society through economic, social, spatial location and functional housing opportunities.
Through our work, we strive to achieve economic empowerment, integration, sustainable human settlements and overall improvement of the housing sector by widening the range of affordable housing options available (rental housing) in the West Rand District Municipality.

Golden West develops affordable housing closer to places of work and public spaces amenities to empower the people it houses. Golden West provides decent, affordable accommodation to low income and at-risk people in the West Rand District Municipality, as well as to people with special needs.

The company, guided by the principles of the Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA), is committed to providing homes that cover all walks of life, with rental accommodation for household income ranging between R3500 to R7500 per month.

Beyond providing housing, a strategic imperative of Golden West is social upliftment, community development and attracting investment in the West Rand District.
