Glass Cuttings

Glass Cuttings offers a range of handcrafted stained glass items, all of which are made on site. We customise stained glass doors, windows and lamps to your imaginings. Together we can create a design that is distinctive and appealing. We also offer standard lampshades, unique window adornments, candle boxes, angels and glass jewellery from both the kiln and the flame torch.

Every stained glass item sold at Glass Cuttings goes through the copper foil method first used in the late 1800’s.It is a tried and tested technique perfected by Louis Tiffany. Little has changed in the process, just some of the machinery has developed to help the crafter but it is essentially a handcrafted process from beginning to end.

Glass is an amazing and mysterious material and once melted by the flame torch the exciting properties of glass inspire the torch artist to create an array of individual beads. By experimenting with design and multiple layers of colour, extraordinary beads evolve. At Glass Cuttings we are delighted to offer flame torch hand made glass beads created in our studio - our Fire Gems.
