It is safe and ideal for families with children to swim in the ocean in front of the house and has a lovely outdoor braai (bbq) spot in front overlooking the ocean. It is near the local shop, fruit stall, local butcher that sells premium quality pork, two restaurants, entertainment hall (also used as a church), rewarding fishing spots/angling, surfing, squash, golf club at Boggomsbaai and is regularly visited by dolphins and whales.
