Francois Joubert

By way of introduction my name is Francois Joubert. I am a Sales and Marketing professional with-in the Hospitality Industry and completed my Higher International Diploma in Hospitality Management in 2006.

I've been appointed as the Group Corporate and MICE Sales Manager for Cresta Hotels and represent their 16 hotels and lodges in the Corporate and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) segments.

I have more than 10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and my journey began at the early age of fifteen. I was appointed during my practical training in 2004 as the Assistant General Manager of Ballynoran Lodge based in Trichardt, Mpumalanga. The Peermont Group then approached me in 2005 and employed me in their groups and conventions department. I decided to relocate to Johannesburg in 2007 and was appointed by the Hilton Hotel based in Sandton in their conference and banqueting sales department. The Grace Hotel in Rosebank also known a 54 on Bath approached me in 2008 and appointed me in their banqueting sales department.

I always had a passion for Sales & Marketing and was employed by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, South Africa in 2009 as Sales Executive in charge of Leisure and MICE Accounts. The Premier Group then approached me in 2011 and gave him the opportunity to represent their ten hotels based in South Africa. I was recalled by one of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts directors in 2011 to join the Luxurious brand, Orient Express as Key Accounts Sales Manager in charge of Corporate and Wholesale. The Westcliff Hotel unfortunately closed for renovation in 2013 and I was appointed by Guvon Hotels & Spas as Sales Manager.
