Folk of the Conservancy is a socio-ecological photography project. It was born from the need to tell the stories of those who use and interact with the landscape within the political boundaries of conservancies. We interview our subjects in addition to photographing them. Alongside their portraits, we include quotes and short stories from their interactions with the natural environment.
Taken together, these portraits and captions became the subject of a fascinating project that reveals the different users within a socio-ecological system.
