Fire and Security Techniques

Fire and Security Techniques is a South African based company and was founded in 1994 as a supplier of automatic fire suppression hardware and gas. We are certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant and we hold the SABS Product Mark for our modular systems. We are located in Centurion, Gauteng with training and marketing facilities in Cape Town. Our formation was designed to coincide with the release in 1994 of the guidelines for Halon replacement fire protection systems. Prior to 1994, Halon1301 was the choice agent but the subsequent legislated withdrawal of production of Halon resulted in a period where the fire industry was not able to provide automatic fire suppression beyond that of automatic CO2 extinguishing systems. Now nearly a decade and a half later it seems the opposite applies with the end user presented with what seems an overwhelming choice of fire suppression solutions. FST carry a balanced portfolio of fire suppression products that enables the client to have the choice of an appropriate solution for all kinds of risks. We have learned that "no one" solution fits all.

We are a distribution company who place a high priority on value added technical support. We have achieved excellent results by cultivating long term relationships with our partners. We have our own range of SABS approved Automatic Fire Protection Equipment and Gases marketed under the “Eckoshield” brand name. We always seeking further geographical expansions and welcoming prospective partners of technical competence and business integrity. We provide a flexible level of support geared to the specific attributes of our new partners. Our systems are installed in some of the continents major organisations.
