Extra Yum Cakes was born out of pastime enjoyment and sheer, unbelievable passion.
Baking cakes and confectioneries for family and friends over the years , word of mouth promotion soon got this home kitchen abuzz with interest and people placing orders and the proverbial "cherry on the top" was when a local party shop and cake bakery, with confidence in the final results, asked if they could pass their "orders overload" onto me. This then took the ....err...Cake and it became obvious that it was time to take things to another level, merging pastime pleasure with the profession of a small patisserie and Extra Yum Cakes (known as Yum Cakes to most) was born.
Servicing and providing for the Upper Highway area , Durban North and the greater Durban, EYC will indulge you with most of your desires from traditional tea cakes, cupcakes, tarts ,cookies and biscuits to more adventurous theme and novelty cakes , special occasion cakes and wedding cakes and let’s face it, there are cakes the world over so we also get many ideas from others and why not. Share and share alike, so if you have a picture or an idea, bring it along and we will gladly copy it as best as possible or adapt its design.
Orders for regular cakes require 4 days pre-ordering and special theme cakes and wedding cakes at least 4 weeks. We accept according to our discretion and booking sheet.
With a 50% non-refundable deposit, your cake is about to become a reality!
