Ethiopian Airlines started operations on April 8th 1946. The Addis Ababa Bole international Airport is the major hub for Ethiopian Airlines and one of the largest airports in Africa. We were the first African Airline to incorporate a Boeing 787 Dreamliner into its fleet. The airline has also become one of Ethiopia’s major industries and a veritable institution in Africa. It commands a lion’s share of the pan African network including the daily and double daily east-west flight across the continent. Ethiopian currently serves 76 international destinations operating the newest and youngest fleets.
