Edenvale Day Clinic

For both patients and doctors, Edenvale Day Clinic offers a unique convenient and comfortable experience.

All surgical cases performed in our clinic are same-day surgical procedures. This means patients are admitted, assessed by an anaesthesiologist, have their surgical procedure and are discharged on the same day. In contrast to private hospitals, same-day surgery offers a cost-effective alternative for patients and their medical aid. In addition, there is a reduced risk of hospital acquired infections and same-day surgery is less emotionally distressing for patients, particularly children.

At Edenvale Day Clinic, the well-being of our patients is of the utmost priority. Our highly experienced nursing staff always ensure patients feel comfortable and relaxed pre and post surgery.

For doctors, the clinic consists of two theatres and two wards and unlike larger hospital competitors, our smaller single storey premises are easily accessible and convenient. There is always parking available and doctors can enter and leave with ease. Doctors operating in our facilities are guaranteed expert equipment while they are assisted by our specialist nursing staff and experienced anaesthetists.

At Edenvale Day Clinic, we strive to make our doctors’ happy and if there is anything our doctors need, we will go out of our way to make it happen.

Edenvale Day Clinic is a member of the Day Hospital Association of Southern Africa and of the National Hospital Network.

We are open Monday to Friday from when doctors would like to start their first case until doctors end their last case. Our receptionist is available to take calls from 8am until 5pm.

Our costs are based on the time spent in theatre and exclude doctors fees. For patients on medical aid, there may be a co-payment that patients will be required to pay to the clinic. These prices vary for each medical aid. Call us should you require more information on costs.
