Dr Rufus Nortje and Dr Riana Malan Medical Practice

Dr Rufus Nortje and Dr Riana Malan are two general practitioners that are working together at a private general family practice.

The practice has been opened in January 2016 by Dr Nortje.

From February 2017 Dr Malan joined the practice.

Dr Rufus Nortje matriculated from the High School Ellisras in 1997. Qualified from TUKS (UP) in 2003. Completed his internship at Steve Biko Hospital and his community service at Kalafong hospital. He started working in private family practice in 2006. From 2008 till 2010 he worked overseas in Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand. After returning to South Africa he has been working at a private practice in the Wonderboom area until he decided to open his own private practice in 2016.

Apart from general family medicine he has a special interest in children’s medicine and aesthetic medicine (medical weight loss, botulinum toxin A - and dermal filler injections).

Dr Riana Malan matriculated from High School Wesvalia. She qualified as general practitioner in 2010 at TUKS (UP). She completed both her internship and community service years at Steve Biko Hospital.

Apart from being a full-time doctor, she is also a full-time wife and mom to three beautiful children. She has been working in private practice for over 2 years now.

She loves general family medicine and she takes a special interest in women’s health (gynaecology) and children’s medicine. She is further qualified to insert IUCD’s (Mirena™).
