A YOUNG SIMBRA STUD WITH A LONG HISTORY

DALVAN SIMBRAS was established in 2011 and is located in the North West Province of South Africa. The stud is a registered member of the Simbra Breeders Society of South Africa.

The beginning...

It all started with a dream of owning a farm. In 2005, we purchased a piece of land 25km from Potchefstroom. My hobby started in 2007 when I purchased some Bonsmara type commercial cattle with no knowledge of being a cattle farmer.

In the summer of 2007, my first cattle with calves arrived with a Simmentaler type bull, which I named Helmut. The first calves were weaned in 2008, and I was hooked. My hobby soon turned into a passion.

In 2008, these cattle were sold, and my first Simbra stud cows were bought from a nearby farmer. This was the first step in becoming a true stud breeder. Helmut continued to do his work, and in 2010, I bought my first registered Simbra bull named Biandi Londozi. The first calves from Londozi were born in September 2011. Indeed very exciting.

My love for my Simbras grew, and in 2011, I decided to register as a stud breeder. Since joining the Simbra Breeders Society of South Africa, I’ve learned so many new things – new contacts have taught me about the industry and shared their knowledge and insight that they've gained over the years. I will always be thankful for the people who believed in me and took the time to guide me. I am still discovering and learning new things daily on my journey to establish DALVAN SIMBRAS as a trusted name in the breeder's market.
