This is achieved by sheets of ABS or acrylic plastic of varying thickness that are cut and bent. ABS plastic has a rugged textured side to prevent enclosures from showing scratches. This specific plastic is very robust and is able to handle a lot of shock and rough handling. Once the plastic has been cut and bend the parts are glued together by means of a solvent which melts the respective pieces together seamlessly. The exact design is finalized on computer software after which the sheets are cut and milled with precision by Computer Numerical Controlled Machines (CNC). This innovative process means that there is no set up cost involved in the manufacturing process and ensures short lead times. Although we use ABS and acrylic plastic any type of plastic that is capable of withstanding the milling process can be used to manufacture a product according to the client’s requirements.
