WHAT IS COOLSCULPTING?

A non-invasive alternative to liposuction, Cryolipolysis freezes excess fat cells without damage to other tissues. Fat cells are cooled into negative temperatures causing them to die and gradually be eliminated by the body through the body’s lymphatic system which then leads to improved toned body contours.
HOW COOLSCULPTING WORKS

Coolsculpting involves the use of a paddle-like applicator attached to a hose that provides the cold.
A gel membrane to help protect your skin is placed over the area being treated and then the Coolsculpting device is applied, The applicator pulls up the area being treated for the duration of the treatment. (this is in no way painfull).
After a few minutes you will begin to feel the cold, there might be a slight stinging, tingling or numb sensation,This is normal and will lessen or even go away completely as the area tends to go numb after a few minutes. Some customers have even said that they did not feel any of the symptoms mentioned only a slight numbness after treatment.

Others have said that it felt tender or numb. There might be a slight redness or whitening of the treated area or even feel a bit stiff. Otherwise, You are free to resume normal activity immediately after the treatment.
IS COOLSCULPTING FOR ANYONE? WHEN CAN I HAVE IT DONE?

1) Whether male or female and regardless of your age you can have Coolsculpting done although it is not recommended for children.

2) Not recommended for people suffering from circulatory disorders, as well as pregnant woman.

3) If you have noticeable fat bulges in the abdominal area, above the waistline, the sides (love handles) or back area as well as the upper legs,

4) If you are not expecting instant results as it takes between two to three months for full results. (some people have seen results after only a week or two. It is recommended that you drink lots of water to flush the dead fat cells out and also to follow a healthy diet. It stands to reason that you are wanting to get rid of the bulges and should not go on binges. If possible exercise.

A few weeks after treatment you will begin to see improvements but as mentioned above full results will only show after between 2 to 3 months at which point you can decide whether you want to have further treatments. Most people go for a second treatment for better results but for some a single session is enough.

The sessions are one hour per area, some people prefer to go for half hour sessions per area and indeed a few salons treat areas to be done in half hour sessions. I normally let the customer decide after we have our first consultation.
A second treatment can be done on the same area after 4 weeks if so desired, which many people prefer to do rather than wait a further month.
