After completion of articles I immediately started practicing as an attorney. I obtained experiences in wide fields of the law as well as managing a law firm from 1999 to date.

Apart from being faced with various aspects of the law, I am also faced with the day to day aspects of running a practice.

In managing a practice I had to develop administration, organisational and planning skills. As the practice grew one was also faced with staff issues and personnel management. In order to equip myself better in this regard I in 2006 completed a diploma in labour law.

I acted in various litigation matters ranging from inter alia delicts, (insurance) (personal injury), contractual, and private law briefs. I therefore frequently have or had to work in a team together with clients and advocates.

I also dealt with numerous commercial and property transfer matters, the drafting of leases, agreements’ collections and acted for sectional title managers.

I in 2015 started specialising in Trust and Estate Law including the winding up of deceased estates, drafting of tailor-made wills and testamentary trusts the drafting auditing and amendments of trust deeds for clients including, auditors, colleagues and assisting brokers in the field of estates and trusts.

In 2016 the VGM Association was formed in order to provide clients with an even wider field of service. The association has a combined experience of over 45 years in different fields of law.

Other areas of practice thus include brokering of property transactions, Property transfers, Labour Law, Insolvency law and assisting insolvents with rehabilitations, General litigation, Commercial litigation.

I regard myself as a positive person with a passion for life. I am performance driven and a hard, dedicated worker with the ability to work independently or in a team environment, solving problems systematically, with the ability to grasp new “things” in a short period of time.
