Ciao Bella Pizzeria & Cafe

We are an Italian artisan pizzeria and bakery cafe. We love regional food that reflect the place where we are. We strongly believe in using the produce around us to showcase the taste and flavour of our place and people that produce it. We use seasonal food because of the quality and seek out specialist producers producing unique products to make exceptional food for our customers.

We are passionate about healthy food and use natural and organic produce where possible. Stone ground flour from the Overberg, fresh produce from George and surrounding areas and Italian cold meats from our local Italian producer is some of the products we prefer to use. We use coffee from our neighbours and businesses situated here in our centre. We love to invest in people and what they produce and form relationship around this.

Our story is also a very personal one which chronicles our family journey to George and the Southern Cape through Italy and other places. Our name was born in Italy where we stayed in Sardinia for a little while and our children were always greeted with a very melodious 'Ah, ciao bella' from our friend living next to us.

My wife and I love people and will always love to share our story and the food we make with you. Our children are also very much part of our restaurant and will love to bring you your cup of coffee.
