Chiseke Women Organisation - CWO

Chiseke Women Organisation is a non-profit community-led organisation born out of the resolve of a small group of women, who, after witnessing the devastation of poverty in their personal lives began to work determinedly to save grown and evolved to become important and trusted local institution and leader in the fight against poverty. The group is comprised of women from a low capacity communities based in Kashima West Ward a rural community about 50Km from the Mufumbwe District.
Chiseke Women Organisation was formed to promote women’s economic participation and carries the hope of prosperity to poor, rural areas of Mufumbwe District of Zambia. The organisation started as a saving group and is committed to helping other poor women to grow tiny businesses to generate income to use for basic needs, education, healthcare and saving.
Membership is composed of widows, young women, aged and married women.
