I am a full-time wedding, portrait and editorial photographer. I am a part-time photography lecturer and designer.
I studied BA Visual Communication at Open Window, majoring in photography (with distinction) and communication design. I am in love with light and am inspired by golden moments. This is what my grandpa used to call those once-in-a-lifetime memories that stick with you forever. He was a legitimate Springbok photographer - and I like to believe some of his genes were passed down to me.
“The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.” — John 1:5
After getting married and treasuring our photos of the day, I was reminded that photography is not just about art, but also about capturing a moment in time that can not be reproduced. Capturing raw emotion and beautiful moments timelessly, always with the highest quality of imagery - that is my goal.
“There are no foolish questions, and no man becomes a fool until he has stopped asking questions.” — Charles Proteus Steinmetz
When I am not at a photo session, editing, teaching or designing, you can find me spending time with my husband and best friend (which is the same person) or lost between the pages of a book. My dreams include travelling the world and opening a coffee shop in more than one country. I want to keep learning, stay inspired and become a better version of myself every day.
