BRIGHTS HARDWARE

Brights was founded in 1971 by Mr. & Mrs. Luis. It was originally a general dealer and electrical contracting and repair business, but throughout the years it developed and grew into an electrical, lighting, hardware, plumbing, tools, paint, power tools, irrigation and building material outlet.

In 1983, the general dealer division was sold off and the building department expanded extensively.

Further expansion came in 1994, with the opening of a Brights warehouse in Kaymor, Stikland.

In 1998, Mr. Luis passed away and Brights continued to grow under the capable leadership of the children.

In 2006, one of the daughters, Delfina and her husband, Miguel left the business to pursue their own destiny with the blessing of the rest of the family.

After 2006 Brights expanded once again with the first ever Drive-Thru yard in Stikland, as well as its first franchise store in Plattekloof.
