Botswana Colour Run

The Color Run is an event series and five kilometres paint race that takes place in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The untimed event has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch,[1] at stations along the run.[2]
If you are having a hard time getting back into a fall fitness regime schedule, might we suggest starting off with the most fun 5km you’ve ever run in your life? That’s what the Color Run promises to be, and it’s coming to Gaborone on 03 October 2015. Runners are required to start off the run in a white T-shirt. After every kilometre completed, participants are doused with a different colour until they reach the finish line in multi-coloured T-shirts. Now that’s the kind of marathon we can get behind! It doesn’t matter if you speed walk or race to the finish. The main goal is to have fun. Given that the event also benefits a Children’s Foundation that will be announced soon, we think it’s a great excuse to lace up our sneakers for a good cause…Colour us excited! The run usually takes place at a local race course of a road near a stadium which may be closed and after the run ,the rest of the event takes place at the festival area.
