Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, in their roles as laddish Bostonians in Good Will Hunting, would definitely be tempted inside this industrial-retro Buitengracht Street premises. The everybody-knows-your-name Cheers bar vibe would make them right at home!

Here in Cape Town’s buzzing central business district, Boston provides the city with a slice of “The Kennedy’s” Massachusetts charm, replete with solid food made according to authentic American recipes and plenty of good tipple to wash it all down with.
Located as it is a Quarterback’s throw from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town’s CBD, Boston is a gastro-pub that looks the city slicker part even as it is, in the end, as down to earth as you could want. This is a place to grab a quick burger in your lunch break, or kick back with friends (and colleagues after-work) and indulge in a craft brew or two from boutique local microbreweries, a fine selection of Western Cape wines, gourmet burgers, buckets of Southern US-style chicken wings and ribs, all served with proper stateside condiments. Marky Mark gets a second mention on this menu as the “De Marky Salad” with walnuts, blue cheese and Granny Smith green apple (make sure you check out his other namesake “The Wahlburger”). There’s big sports up on the big screen and a homely atmosphere that will see you coming back for more.

Eric of Irish origin experienced Irish Diaspora through the whole of the USA in his travels. Once reaching Boston he realized Boston is Irish. This set in motion combining great Irish craic and American fare.

Throughout his design background, Eric has created a rustic meets industrial environment offering a warm welcome from all in Boston – along with a great streetside venue.

Parking is aplenty along Buitengracht Street & the destination offers a bit of New England in downtown Cape Town. Boston is now a part of Central Cape Town rejuvenation, opening up onto Buitengracht Street, which creates an amazing mingling atmosphere.
