What is Biokinetics?

Biokinetics is a profession concerned with health promotion, the maintenance of physical abilities and final phase rehabilitation by means of scientifically- based activity programme prescription.

What does a Biokineticist do?

A Biokineticist is a clinical exercise specialist, who uses exercise as a tool of medicine .The use of scientific individualized based exercise prescription help to improve the well-being and quality of life of the population. Our aim is to improve an individuals physical functioning.

Qualified undergraduate degree in Sport Psychology in 2010 and went on to complete my Honours degree in Biokinetics in 2012. Completed my internship in 2013 at FNB ,where corporate wellness and orthopedic rehabilitation was of great importance. In 2014 I moved on to a private practice in Benoni, where I got to work with a larger scope of rehabilitation. Under great guidance for a few years I have fulfilled my dream in opening and running my own practice. I have completed a course in Massage, Sports Nutrition as well as Lynotherapy. I’m a also a member of (SASMA) Sport Medicine South Africa.
