Baitun Noor Centre

We are a non profitable religious welfare organization established in 1945, as the Transvaal Kokney Muslim Society.

On September 1992, a historic milestone was achieved and the realisation of the dream of founder members when the prestigious Baitun Noor Centre was officially opened.

Today the Baitun Noor centre proudly adorns the landscape of Lenasia and is a monument to the vision of these founder members whose dedication and commitment made this possible.

At the 2005 biennial general meeting members adopted the proposal to change the name to Gauteng Kokney Muslim Society as Transvaal was no longer a province in the new dispensation.

The organization which operates from the Baitun Noor Centre is presently involved in various projects and initiatives with the sole purpose of being of service to humanity.

The Baitun Noor Centre has a stylish air conditioned banqueting Venue which has been used for many prestigious banqueting and wedding functions.

The venue is available for hire at very competitive rates.
