Axel's Pet Products

We started in 2013 by developing unique and durable dog beds for our own Great Dane (Axel) due to illness, after many iterations and innovation we were impressed with our creation and expanded to six exciting new products as Axel’s Pet Products in 2014 when we launched to the public.

To meet the rising market demand for a consumer-focused retailer with quality products, we set out to deliver durable PET PRODUCTS to direct and indirect channels, our focus is:

Pet Enthusiast (The Public).
Retail and Pet shops (Wholesalers).
Online E-Commerce Pet Stores (we are expanding to TakeAlot soon)

We are avid pet enthusiasts and currently own three beautiful Great Danes which we use as test subjects, these angels are called Obelix, Echo and Ice. Axel boy was is our eldest son, a gentle giant and the inspiration for the business name, he developed a rare bone defect 3 months after his birth in 2007 and we made an emergency plan to make him comfortable during his suffering. The Axel's Lounger was born... the rest is history so to speak.

Early on we decided to hell with cheap and high-profit margins, we wanted to create the best products at the best prize. We also set out to offer a personalized touch (by you) to really capture the spirit of your companion with our printed/personalized crate bed and crate cover products, these are still popular and are used for branding and marketing purposes by the dog show/breeding enthusiasts. We just don't sell much of these as they just last and last...

With 10 years experience in the foam manufacturing and upholstery industry and a SERIOUS passion for animals/owners, we decided to combine our love with a business that would bring you and your pet great and exciting new homegrown (proudly South African) products that embody quality and companionship.
