What is an Asset Tag and how is it different from an Asset Label?
Asset Labels is the most common name for the types of labels that you will find on our website. Although elsewehere in the world, people tend to prefer the term Asset Tags. All of the names are synonyms, however. Others use terms such as Asset ID Label, Barcode Labels, Asset Identification Labels and Asset Management Labels, Property Tags, Property ID Tags, Property ID Labels, Property Identification Tags and Property Identification Labels, Property Asset Management Labels or even "those little barcode stickers"! But they are all referring to essentially the same thing. So whichever term you prefer, is of no consequence, as long as we provide you with the quality label that you require.

SecurX Void
A very popular choice for customers who need to be sure that an item has been tampered with, especially where warranty claims may become void due to tampering. Although slightly more expensive than in-house printed paper-based warranty stickers; these labels offer a much higher sense of security because of the non-tear nature and the VOID imprint that stays behind on the article. Many a cheat has been able to defraud organizations in carefully removing paper-based stickers and re-attaching them later to the same or even different article and then claim warranty on such an item. It is virtually impossible to achieve the same with our SecurX Void labels. Why risk hundreds, thousands or even tens-of-thousands, when a few extra cents could mean the difference between losing money and being certain. This is also a great low-cost security device where the application justifies it.

SecurX Destruct
Although the uses of the SecurX Destruct labels are similar to those of the SecurX Void labels, the main difference is that the SecurX Destruct labels tear and crumble when someone tries to remove them. This feature makes it ideal for situations where for example a void in warranty or tampering needs to be indicated, but the customer’s access to the item should not be hindered. Typical examples may include Boxed Software Applications, Confidential Mail, Medicinal packaging, etcetera.

Rigid
The Rigid variety is supplied in two distinctly different types, and can be interchanged within applications.
Aluminium labels have been around for many years and are still very popular. These are manufactured to your exact size and design specifications in a variety of thicknesses.
Aluminium Silver
This label is often referred to as Brushed Aluminium or Anodised Aluminium or even just Metal Tags. It is the standard Aluminium Label used for a multitude of applications and print is done in Black on the “silver” background of the Label or a combination of colours (up to Full Colour). Thereafter the label is covered with a clear coating to prevent scratches damaging the printed image.
Aluminium Black
This label is often referred to as Black Aluminium or Anodised Aluminium. It is the standard Aluminium Label used for a multitude of applications and print is done by means of etching the lettering and barcode with a laser onto the black surface of the Label or by means of Litho Printing a reverse image.

are slightly more messy to use and apply, than Flexible Labels
fits very securely on a wide variety of surfaces
usually does not fit curved surfaces, unless the bend is very slight
cannot tear and is very rugged are not as cost effective as Flexible Labels
are supplied loose and Acetone is required to activate the glue on the actual Label
is usually exceptionally difficult to remove once properly applied and cured; this could be a benefit or a disadvantage, depending on the application

Aluminium Silver Aluminium Black


All the materials we supply can be used with a barcode or serial number. When you stick an asset tag to your surface, also have a bit of patience. Most of our adhesives take a few hours for final cure. An aluminium asset tag that can be removed cleanly after 30 minutes can become quite impossible to remove after 24 hours. Heating the application surface slightly accelerates the cure time. A thick adhesive is needed when you want to stick an asset tag or asset label on an irregular or bumpy surface.

Window Marking kits [Stencils with etching fluid]. Stencils can be customized to include logo of vehicle manufacturer.

It is a simple safe and effective system for marking a vehicle's glass at import/export centre or dealership.


UV Marking
[Laser cut ultra-destruct labels with UV marking fluid]. Produced in robust ultra-destruct material any attempt to tamper with a label will be very obvious. If an attempt is made to remove a label it will break up into many small pieces. This will make it impossible for criminals to transfer a label to another vehicle. [If a label is removed, the code, telephone number and web address will be clearly visible under UV light.]

UV Self-Etch Labels.
The ultra-destruct labels are manufactured with UV within the adhesive. Once a label is applied to any painted metal surface, it will take a maximum of 7 days for the unique code and 24/7 number to be permanently etched into the surface. As in the case of the UV fluid, if a label is removed, the mark will be clearly readable under a UV Light.
These labels can include a QR Code for easy tracking with a smart phone

What discounts or payment terms do we offer?
Due to the low total cost per typical order and low profit margins, we can only offer these on a strict COD basis, and this is unlikely to change. In fact, a 50% deposit is required on placement of order, with balance payable prior to delivery.
Most corporate companies can produce a cheque or petty cash for such small amounts within a short space of time.

What is your turnaround time?
First orders are usually delivered within 5 to 7 working days for Flexible labels and 14 days for Aluminium and Retainagroup Products after sign-off of proof, based on a number of factors, such as quantity, delivery destination etc.
Subsequent re-orders are usually supplied within 3 to 5 working days from date of order (Flexible only).
Please note that no orders will be processed prior to funds equal to the entire invoice amount, being made available in the designated bank account.
